There are several causes that trigger heartburn. Some of the causes are something you can’t avoid right away such as pregnancy, obesity, hiatal hernia, etc. The other is caused by your lifestyle or by foods and beverages. 1. Smoking

3. Foods
Anyone who has heartburn needs to examine what they are eating. Foods like citrus fruits, berries, tomatoes, oily foods, rich foods such as chocolate cakes, pies, etc cause high acidity. High acidity could make worse the condition. Examine which ones affect you and avoid those foods in your diet.
4. Not enough sleep, stress and worry also cause high acidity
You could handle it by taking meditation or yoga to calm your stress and worry. Try to take enough sleep, too, at least six hours of sleep every night.
